Lambda Stop/Start for Non-Production EC2
Eliminates cost waste from test and development environments running 24/7. Lambda functions automatically stop instances outside business hours and restart them on-demand or on schedule. Typical saving: 65–75% of non-production compute costs. Triggers SNS alerts on start/stop events; integrates with AWS License Manager to handle licensed software correctly.
CloudFormation Auto Recovery for EC2
A CloudFormation template that automatically creates CloudWatch alarms for EC2 auto-recovery. When an underlying hardware failure is detected, SNS triggers a PagerDuty alert and the instance reboots,retaining its Instance ID, private IP, Elastic IP, and all EBS volumes. Zero manual intervention; full incident audit trail maintained in CloudTrail.
Automated Backup Tagging via Lambda
Solves the silent risk of new EC2 instances being missed by AWS Backup due to missing tags. A Lambda function triggered by CloudWatch Events auto-detects newly launched instances and applies a BACKUP=YES tag, enrolling them in the backup plan automatically. Supports centralised backup management across multiple AWS accounts from a single pane of glass.
AWS Billing Reports via WhatsApp Chatbot
An innovative solution integrating WhatsApp (via Twilio API) with Amazon Lex to deliver on-demand and scheduled AWS billing and inventory reports through a conversational chatbot.
